Once the Authy authenticator app has downloaded, open it. Confirm your verification option, enter the six-digit code you received via your verification option. Go back to Xero and copy the key. Return to Authy and paste in the key. Authy will start to generate a six-digit code, which changes every 30 seconds. Setting up your backup email or security questions means you will always have access to your Xero account. Log in to Xero using a web browser. Under Additional Security , click Change in the Connected device section.
On your new device, install the authenticator app of your choice. To use push notifications, get the Xero Verify app. Follow the steps in Xero to add your Xero account to the app. Add a backup email address, then click Continue. Your answers can only contain letters or numbers, and not any symbols or special characters. Download the Authy Application.
Once it is downloaded, open Authy and set it up by following the instructions on the screen. Once you have successfully set up Authy, a screen like this will appear. Click the plus button to add your Xero account. A screen like this will appear, prompting you to add a key. Go back to Xero and copy the key.
